Sierrah + Nicholaus

*Sierrah and Nicholaus were married on April 28, 2018, in the Mesa Arizona Temple.*

We met through mutual friends on Facebook, but I worked nights and he worked days so it was nearly impossible to go on a date. He then got a night job on top of his day job just so he could stay up and talk to me longer. We went on our first date and instantly fell in love, and it’s only grown bigger from that point on!

WHAT WAS WEDDING PLANNING LIKE FOR YOU?

I worked full time and went to school online full time. I thought I might go crazy adding wedding planning to all of that, but I had so much help from my friends and family! It was a lot on my plate for a while but I’m just glad the planning is over with.

What were your wedding colors and/or theme?

Different shades of dark green with a little lavender.

Describe your wedding style.

Natural and elegant. Less is more!

Looking back, would you do anything differently about your wedding planning and/or wedding?

I would change nothing at all! I had my dream wedding all of the way.

What advice would you give LDS couples planning a wedding?

Stop worrying about the little things!!! It’s almost inevitable, but on your wedding day, it doesn’t even matter what anything looks like. You’re getting sealed for eternity with your sweetheart. The colors, flowers, cake, or anything won’t matter in the long run. Don’t let it get the best of you. And know that one thing will go wrong on your wedding day; just smile and remember the temple!

Tell us about your wedding reception!

Our reception was outdoors with lots of trees and grass. It was at our friend’s house and they had horses fences behind us and beautiful wooden handmade furniture that made the evening perfect!

What is something specific that you remember about your wedding?

I remember everything so well still, but coming out of the temple with my husband and seeing ALL of our family from New York, Virginia, and Utah there and being swarmed with love.
